The camera the app will use is in the top right corner of the back face, if the screen is facing you with the home button in the bottom of the facing surface. If you feel the back face, there is a small circle that feels different from the rest of the metal; this is the camera. If you have a case, the camera is where there is a round hole in the back of the case. Also, make sure you are in enough light; the iPod has no flash or other light source of its own like the iPhone4 does.
