I haven't found anything to consistently work around the "See more stories" link. However, several times I have clicked on it, then began reading back and forth a bit with vo+right or left arrows, and magically, it will begin reading more stories. Although, it doesn't work every time for me, and toggling vo off and back on again doesn't seem to have the same effect. I'll just have to keep playing with it.
