Cheree Heppe here: It's a tough decision.
If I could do quality word processing on an IPad 2, I would select that over a MacBook Air because it will be more portable and a lot of the interface iss, for me, easier. It is possible to obtain a typist friendly Bluetooth keyboard that won't take up a lot of space or, that may take up less space than the Air or that might be advantageous when comboned with an IPad.
