Hi everyone: Just wanted to introduce myself and express my thanks to the mods and you all for the opportunity to be part of helping to keep the list running smoothly.
I would like to encourage people to remember that as we continue to increase in number, there's greater potential for overwhelming virtual traffic. Asking questions, sharing opinions and even differences in opinion are perfectly fine and encouraged, and certainly good clean humor is pretty much a must when dealing with the quirks and situations these electronic beasts with voices can toss at us. I would mention, however that with hundreds reading these posts, your discretion in terms of what you write is requested. If you have something of substance to add to a discussion, excellent, it's entirely welcome. If you are excited and plan to try something being discussed, perhaps it's best to wait till you've done so and give us the benefit of your results, rather than the knowledge that you're going out and will do so later. If you have a one line response to one person, you might ask yourself, "will everyone or at least more than one person benefit from this input?" Hope this makes some sense. Like the other mods, I encourage you to feel free to drop someone a note off list if you have a response, question or word of thanks specifically for one person. In this way, we all respect each others time and email constraints, and also get to know others on a more individual basis. Also, I encourage you to bring your list concerns to any of the mods, and we'll do our best to help resolve them. I can be reached at chaas0...@gmail.com Again thanks for reading and for the opportunity to help this list continue to be a valuable resource for all of us.
