Hi list: After I ordered my Mac Mini, I called the 800 number to ask a question about shipping.
In the course of the conversation, the Apple rep told me that, because I had custom configured my Mini, they do the configuration in China and then ship it from there. If I had ordered one without any customization, they would, apparently, have been able to ship from their warehouse.
