Very well put Esther, and thanks so much for the info. Very handy stuff. In addition to the points you made, I use Boot Camp to run a number of audio recording programs, and when running under Windows 7, I've encountered issues with the non Texas Instruments Firewire port with a number of audio interfaces. Texas Instruments chipsets just tend not to have any of these issues.
