Hi, the only real viable solution I've seen is the Eyepal. While I'm not overwhelmed with the product it's fast and accurate, supports braille at least for now, batch scans, saves to mp3, and otherwise does more or less what the literature says it does.
Many people have gotten off the shelf programs to work for them which is great, but so far no one has proven it to me.
