You can send them thru mail. For example if you have a friend on Verizon,
you could send a message to 1234567...@vtext.com. For AT&T it would be
txt.att.net, I'm not sure about Sprint, but for T-Mobile it's tmomail.com.
Be sure to include the area code in your number, even if it's local.
