Hi,

Did you try the menu option in Numbers where you can check/uncheck the first 
column to be a header column? I think I mentioned that in a previous message. 
VO will always announce the vertical and horizontal header column/row, unless 
you make a spreadsheet that does not have headers. You may also try the setting 
in the VoiceOver Utility app/verbocity/announcements for heading feedback when 
navigating tables.
