Mac OS doesn't play nice with FAT32 partitions, they need to be at minimum NTFS
in order for them to work with mac os systems. However, if you don't see an add
share point or volume button in your server admin panel, the issue is
altogether different as you should be able to share your system volume but you
said your sharing is either greyed out or just isn't there.

I had my server on before a few days when my partner plugged it off because the
quote unquote white flashy thingy (which is incidentally my external disk)
probably takes a lot of energy. So now i have lost remote access to my server
not due to viruses or other data centric circumstances but human implication in
the most intimate order :)

So i can only navigate blindly here.

Here's a list of things to check:

1-your server is reachable at yourservername.local

2-DNS is in order for all network related services.

If not, go to terminal and type sudo changeip -checkhostname , type your admin
password then if there are no error messages you're good to go.

3-Check your volumes and if necessary change them to ntfs or HFS+ journaled.

If all these are go, there is no reason you can't see a list of available
volumes or share points after you vo right in the sharing tab on either your
server or on the afp item in your sever list.

Hope this helps
