Cheree Heppe here: Finding the buttons when a function is being done can be tricky.
When I made my voicemail greeting, the play and record buttons were on the bottom of the screen, on either side of the Home button nest the edge. The meanings of some or maybe all of the buttons, I can't recall exactly, change according to function. So, the play becomes stop, etc. I would try it to see, but am not sure what would happen to my current message if I jump into the voicemail setting and try the buttons. The newest concept with me with the IPhone is that I can do it.
