Hi Joseph, I don't know if this will help or not, but the same thing happened to me the other day. I discoverd that I had my switch for muting sound on. I had to disconnect my headphones and turn up the volume. THat seemed to do the trick. As far as restoring your apps, I'd say If they are stored within Itunes, I wonder if you could sync the Iphone. I'm sure you probably thought of this. I hope that helps.
