Wow. This is very sad indeed. I've never heard anything about this before. I certainly hope he gets well.
As hard as he was already working on the captcha solution service, he had expanded into other areas and it seemed like things were doing very well. In fact, just over a week ago I ordered one of his tactile screen protectors for my new iPod touch. This would explain why I never even received any confirmation. I was starting to be frustrated, but if he's ill I'm not even going to worry about that. It's possible that this is beginning to get off topic for the list, but I would like to share one last thought. If this is correct, The community really should make some effort to contact him. This individual is doing tremendous things for the blind community and we should demonstrate that we care about his wellbeing in return. First, where did you hear this news? There's nothing on the blog or twitter account, but I wouldn't really expect anything, given the situation. I'd just like to see the original list post and determine if there's an authoritative source or just rumors floating around the internet. One of the last posts on twitter from late October just says that he's been too busy to use twitter very much. If you have a link for a list archive or can forward the post itself, send it to me off list. je...@fastmail.us Justin On Jan 25, 2011, at 9:52 PM, Sarah Alawami wrote: Oh no! Man no wonder I have not seen him post on twitter. I hope he will be ok. I don't think anyone can do what he did.
