You can put items in the ~/dropbox/public folder for others to get. Besure the dropbox application is running. After putting a item in the publict folder wait a while for it to upload to the dropbox server. Go to the item and right click on it. You will get a drop down menu. Arrow down to dropbox sub menu. In the sub menu you will find a item called Copy Public Link. Click on this link. This will put a link to the item on the paste board. How when you are in a e-mail press command v to paste the link into the e-mail. Sure wish you would get skype working. It would be more simple to talk you through this.
