Hi Garth and list: Back on the MBP for the moment. Well, apparently, it did sync some contacts, and some songs. My daughter just went thrugh and organized my contacts on the iPad, which would've taken me several months, a ton of gray hair, not to mention several rum and coke binges; none of which sound like fun.:)
Now I just have to get the address book on the mac to look that nice.:) I have to say, observing her do that really brought home to me how much of a struggle things like contacts and address books can be when they get balled up. They take us far more time and effort than sighted folks to fix up.:) Anyhow, I'm still wondering why my contacts wouldn't complete an email address. For example, I put in Mac for macvisionaries, and nothing would happen. Is there an auto complete or smart address feature I'm missing on the iPad? Also, I don't really see my whole music library on the iPad. So, I'm not quite out of the woods yet. Since I'm still pondering, I'll ask one more: Is there a way to now copy the corrected contacts back from the IPad to the mac, rather than rebuilding again? Thank everyone so much for your help and your patience.
