Hi Yuma and Kawal, You typically can't rearrange the order in which the displayed columns of information to be viewed will occur. At least, even with the procedure of checking or unchecking View Option columns, re-ordering of at least the main columns with headings that are usually displayed doesn't seem to stick in any application. The VO-Shift-Backslash is the VO-vertical line shortcut for sorting entries in a column in either ascending or descending order. On an English language input keyboard the key for typing a vertical line is the shifted backslash key, and is at the right edge of the keyboard, above the return key and below the delete key. VO-backslash expands folders (although on the commands menu reached by pressing VO-H twice, this is announced as "toggle disclosure triangle"). VO-Shift-Backslash (or VO-Vertical lIne) sorts the selected column of a table in either ascending or descending order (e.g., applying the command a second time on the same column reverses the sort order).
Kawal, did you remember to interact before trying to use VO-Shift-Backslash to reverse the sort order of the column in mail? That's usually the problem if your sort didn't work. Yuma, is there now a shortcut sequence for sorting on the French input language keyboard, or do you still need to use VO-H twice to select the sort command? (And as an aside, the sort command will not show up as one of the menu options this way, if you did not interact first -- these options are context sensitive.) HTH.
