Hey Marlaina:
Command C is a command to copy what's in the cursor to clipbord, just as 
control C does on that other operating system.  It would be effective, for 
example if you want to move a book from downloads to the Victor stream or 
somewhere else.

Erik also talked about command-shift-C to select and copy a body of text on the 
web.  HTH
