Cheree Heppe here: I am using an older head set, a Jabra BT 250 VT. It is my favorite headset because of the way it doesn't intrude or block the ambient and has great sound quality and stays on my ear just fine. But it only responds to calls.
The newer Bluetooth headset, also a Jabra, called the Stone, has terrible battery life, two or three hours of talk time, stays less well on my ear, but lets me hear everything. Well, I think the Stone is going away in favor of one of the Plantronics headsets. Anyone have experience with a Plantronics 550 Pro or something like that? Can one hear properly in the ambient while using it, etc? One of the Plantronics headsets advertised an eight hour battery time for talk. That would work for doing E-mail and reading and such. I know this is a new product and I am sure they will address this. If not, they will be rather behind most of the better headsets on the market.
