Hello Mark,

My favourite iPhone app is Kobo. It is an accessible eReader with a very good 
catalogue of books at reasonable prices. The setup process is a bit 
complicated, but once it's done, reading is easy.

Another useful app is Voxie voice recorder. You can start and stop recording 
just by shaking the iPhone.
