I have already made the purchase! My husband and I have the Iphone 4 but I also 
have the I Pod nano. We both have the 32 GB and we'll both have the 16 gb Nanos.

I'll tell you a number of differences about both devices that people don't 
always realise.

Firstly, both devices have a timer but both do different things. On the Nano, 
you can set your timer to shut down the Ipod after a period of time where as on 
the I Phone 4, an alarm goes off and you can't shut the I Pod down that's how I 
understand it.

Next, although Nike Plus is available on both devices, I don't think I'd like 
to take the I Phone on the Tread Mil; where as you can clip the nano to your 
collar and do what you want without worrying if you'll have an I Phone left at 
the end of it!
