Hi sarai: When you plug the iPod into the mac, iTunes will ask to sync, or to transfer the stuff from the iPod to the library. I'm sure someone here can give you a better step by step explanation if needed. But, it really shouldn't be a problem at all. The other option is to simply perform iPhone backup with the new Mac.
