exactly  that's why I don't use an external keyboard  I'd prefer that and 
keeping my mac closed to keep kitties off the built in keyboard  maybe it will 
last longer that way
 not to mention that often I'd put the mac on the home theater in the living 
room and kick back with the wireless keyboard in my lap instead of the laptop
Id rather spill a drink in my keyboard than my mac
