Hi Jon, It's been a long time, since I don't really use my vm for much other
than testing, but I think it showed up last year when I upgraded from fusion
one to fusion 2. This month I upgraded to fusion three and installed the new
vmware tools, but that hasn't fixed the problem. It's also worth noting that
my vinux 3 machine works just fine. No complaints at all.

Installing the bootcamp drivers isn't strictly necessary, but I found that once
I did install them my vm performed much better. When I upgraded to snowleopard
I upgraded the drivers in my virtual machine as well, so there shouldn't be a
driver issue.

Another interesting aside to this. I went in to do a network diagnostic and
got the error, "xpnetdiag.exe could not be found. Make sure you typed the
location correctly." So, I went off and tried to download the patch for
network diagnostics yesterday and discovered that you can only download the
patch using a validated windows machine. Bummer for me since I'm using mac.

Honestly, I wish I could just ditch windows. I remember when these problems
used to fascinate me and how proud I was when I could fiddle some driver into
working or fix some spurious error or patch a virus without damaging the
operating system... Well and truly gone are the days.

Best,
