Hi, I'm not sure how you actually turned it off. Usually, turning the iSight camera off in one app does not affect its status in other apps. I believe that it is off by default when in Skype and you need to click the camera on button. In ichat, you can turn it on and off via the video menu. I've also used a script to totally disable the camera but I don't have that one with me right now but I doubt that's how you turned it off. Which app were you using that was not recognizing your camera?
