Hi Marlaina,
My guess is that when you tried to read your document in TextEdit you
had TextEdit set to Wrap to Page, rather than Wrap to Window. Press
Command-Shift-W to change this, and you should be able to read your
document continuously past the first page. Anne answered this
question for Mary not too long ago, so it's fresh in the collective
consciousness <smile>.
Cheers,
Esther

Hi Marlaina,
Is this document in Pages? The way I do it and I have a 300 page
story I published, I do the following to get VO to read passed the
first page. I had the same trouble when I first started working with
Pages. Interact with page 1. Then you should be able to hit VO A to
read the whole document. If that doesn't work, you should at least
be able to hit VO down arrow and read till the end of the document.
I hope that helps. I know you said this was time sensitive. I'm
unsure if anyone else has responded to your post, so I thought I'd
chime in. Have a great evening.
Musically,
Allison

Ok, this is a real-time scream for help. I've tried reading this
time-sensitive document in pages and text edit and I can't get vo
to read past page 1. I have interacted and done vo a I have done
the swipe down gesture on the track pad and always, vo stops in the
same place. Now, were I Alex, I would not want to read this boring
legalese either, but Alex Baby, you gotta come through because I
have to respond by tomorrow. Please don't push me to my xp pc just
to read this simple word document! Can anybody help!
