Hi Joshua,
To add to Jon's excellent summary, you can sort any displayed column
in the iTunes songs table by just navigating to that column and using
the VO-Shift-Backslash sort command. This works whether or not you
have Track Pad Commander (e.g., on older machines). The sort command
is a toggle action, and if you apply it again, you'll reverse the sort
direction between ascending and descending order. Two more quick
comments: people who do not use an English language input keyboard may
have to use the VoiceOver Commands menu (VO-H twice; i.e. hold down
Control and Option keys and tap the "H" key twice) then select the
"Sort Column" command to sort the column they've navigated to. This
is because the key for vertical bar (Shift-Backslash) is used for
other characters on their keyboard. Second point: in multi-disc
albums you will want to sort on the Album column, as Joshua asked
about, rather than the Track column. This is something to keep in
mind in particular for audiobooks, where you want the sorted contents
to be arranged correctly over multiple volumes (discs).
HTH. Cheers,
Esther

1. Track Pad commander... When interacting with the table of songs go
to the very top and find the column header for Track. Then Double
click any where on the track pad.
2. Navigate to any song's track column and then hit VO-| (verticle
bar)
3. I believe there is a sort option in the view menu.

Hello everybody,
I was not able to make this happen without sighted assistance in
Windows. I
hope there is a way to do it independently with Voice Over on the
Mac.
When I am using the column browser, and I narrow the tracks
displayed to a
particular album, how do I get them to be displayed in the same
order they
appear on that album, instead of alphabetically by artist or song
title?
Thanks,
Joshua
