Hi all, Some of you may already recognize me from several other technology discussion lists and others may not.
Well, I took the plunge last evening and ordered an iMac which hopefully will be here tomorrow. After moving over to the apple IOS platform for communications back this past January, I've been impressed with Apples commitment to produce more accessibility in their products. I made the decision to move to the MAC OSX platform because of many recent events in the audio and music territory but am impressed with other new actions coming about like bringing gestures to navigation to all MAC users. Unfortunately, I will not be totally leaving the PC/Windows environment since my job as a Software Development Manager requires me to use that platform since the agency I work for is strict on it's standards. Because of this, I have to keep Windows available at home - either running under Fusion or on my old run down XP Pro machine or even both. I felt it was important for me to move to the MAC at this time to experience all the new comings from Apple as they come out now in each release of OSX and versions of software such as the iLife 11 products - particularly GarageBand and it's new found accessibility. I've joined this group to hopefully learn more about techniques, available accessible software and maybe get back in touch with some old aquaintences I noticed are members on this list. I look forward to learning a new platform and learning from all of you.
