Hand break instructions needed.

Could Jesse or another Hand break user please give me and maybe others
a little more instruction on how to use this program?

I have VLC and Hand break. My goal is to convert my DVD's into a format that I
can use on iTunes and my iPhone. This is completely new to me. Best would be
a step by step list if someone has the energy to do it.

Your help would be appreciated.
