You reminded me of so many things now, that I am afraid that this discussion will be off topic if we go on. I was wondering though, how cool it would be if there is some kind of history of computer accessibility with text, audio recordings of old speech synthesizers, program demos etc. It would be good for us to remember and for the younger generation to appreciate how far we have gone.
