If you go to apple.com and search for the term "facetime" you will find that the first link that comes up is Facetime for the mac. Click on that, and then there will be several headings talking about what you can do. Eventually, there is a frame that says something like Choose a download site or choose a download link or something like that. Interact with that frame, and you'll find a download facetime button. Press it. Then, you'll be downloading the dmg file. After it's done, open it, and run the installer app. Then go to the applications folder and run the app. It will ask you to sign in with your Apple ID. Once you do that, it will ask you which email address you want to use for people to contact you via facetime. Tell it, and it may ask you to verify the address with your apple ID if they're not the same and sometimes if they are. Once that's done, you're good to go. You needn't even have the app running and open to receive facetime calls.
