We are delighted to announce the release of the version of Digit-Eyes
that works on the camera-equipped iPod Touch and which more fully
utilizes the features of the iPhone version 4.

Here is the summary of changes:

    * operates on the camera-equipped iPod Touch;
    * uses the flash on the iPhone 4 when scanning in dark areas;
    * does not require the user to de-activate the screen curtain
during use;
    * reads code 39 and code 128, the common forms of bar codes used
for inventory tracking
    * operates in 12 languages and dialects in addition to English:
Danish, French (Canada and France), German, Italian, Norwegian,
Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Spanish (Mexico and Spain)
and Swedish

As Davey notes: "The exciting part about this development is that
people who use Digit-Eyes now have choices about which equipment they
want to buy. All too many times, we, as blind people, have just had
one choice -- something anchored to the computer, something only
provided by one company and the like. Suddenly, we have two choices
for using the Digit-Eyes software -- one with the phone and one that
just uses wi-fi or a wireless Internet connection."

Choice is powerful!

The upgrade is free.
