Donna, your DLink does the same thing. I forget what the default name is it's either dlink or dlink-gw or dlinkrouter something like that. Since the router provides your DNS for you they just inject a name with the routers IP in to your dns requests that the device proxies.
You can set this name to what ever you want by adjusting the host name field in the main settings page for network. Hope that helps.
