Yup, I can reproduce this. They seem to be using some kind of faked pull-down menu so when I VO-space it makes the drop-down of languages, but they never move focus there and moving focus off the button causes the fake pull-down menu to collapse again. The only way I could figure out to make it work was to turn of keyboard focus following VO focus so I could leave the From menu without it collapsing. Unfortunatly they also don't append the menu right after the button but rather at the end of the page and then use CSS to visually align it under the button. That means you have to navigate past the page footer (Share your story, privacy, help) and then next you land in the list of languages. They really should use jQueryUI, Dojo or some other widget library that implements these things accessibly. This isn't a VO problem per se but rather exposes bad coding practices under the hood.

Hi

for some reason the language combo boxes on the www.translate.google.com
website are not showing up as pop up buttons so I cannot change their values. I
am running the latest mac OS10.6 and latest updates.
Is this something I just need windows for?
