Sandy, Have you considered just making sound recordings with the voice memoes app and videoing things with the camera? If you use the facebook ap, you'll be able to post pictures as well as status updates to your profile regarding where you are and what your doing, and then, once you have all the recordings you want, you could merge them all into one big presentation on the laptop which could be uploaded to youtube or burnt onto dvd for family and friends.
Don't get me wrong, I love the setup that Yuma will be using, but sometimes things are easier when there not so technical.
