Ok. I found the issue on a google help forum but beeing unable to reply due to accessibility issues? see my twaudio page at http://twaud.io/users/marrie1 I can't post so here is what I accomplished by some diognastic tools. Note my own connection works well.
Gmail sends but won't receive using the latest apple mail. The activity scroll area is full for about 8 or so seconds then empty with no mail being retrieved. On the iphone there is an error with incorrect username or password. I can send and receive correctly on the website. In this case I do have my smtp and imap set to the gmail domain so in my case that cannot be it. I tried to telnet it just like in the prior posts and came up with this. telnet imap.gmail.com Trying 74.125.67.109... telnet: connect to address 74.125.67.109: Operation timed out telnet: Unable to connect to remote host and for smtp? Trying 72.14.213.109... telnet: connect to address 72.14.213.109: Operation timed out telnet: Unable to connect to remote host The plot thickens here. Is anyone else having these issues when telnetting?
