Hello, in my virtual machine I do use window eyes. Issues that I experience so far, is system sluggishness. The system sluggishness I think is due to two things, one the fact that it is a virtual machine and not running on a real Windows machine, also when the wise it seems to me anyway seem to take up a bit more system resources then Jaws for Windows. The benefits of running window eyes under the virtual machine are these, one you don't have to use the dongle, to best as I can tell all of the commands and window eyes seem to be available to me. Jumping back to some of the things that one should keep in mind that I've noticed, there's a great deal of sluggishness when using Firefox under the VM, this is particularly noticeable when trying to do a search on Google's site. For some odd reason that Halen box will work completely properly. General observations, and other list members can offer a more, are that whenever there is a feeling box browse mode does appear to act very slowly, or in some cases not at all. And when browse mode doesn't work, incorrect data can be put in it. I think in this situation it is best to do this with quite a bit of patience, I hate to say it but trial and error will be your best guide when using window eyes with VM Ware. However in closing I must say that is better than the experience with Jaws for Windows. Let me note however that I don't work for GW micro, I'm just a consumer initiative see by by signature I am a college student finishing up my masters and so I used whatever Cooley is most convenient for finishing the job. Hope everyone on the list is having a good afternoon. On Jul 19, 2010, at 2:40 PM, Garry Turkington wrote:
