Hi, Put it this way. Are you going to need it? Do you really need calendars, contacts, and all that other good stuff synchronized continuously? Are you that busy that you find it much more convenient?
iDisk is just a place to store files, and they will immediately be available on your iPhone when you get the application and enter your Mobile Me member information. It works great, actually, and I really love it. As for your other question, the way Mobile Me works is cynchronization. IF you delete a contact on your iPhone, that contact will disappear in Address Book and so-forth depending on how your synch settings are set. The same for the iPhone.
