And that is the hope for 4G or LTE or whatever the hell it is called this week. LTE/4G or whatever would provide companies like VZW the ability to be more a global competitor and would essentially provide a standard for most carriers accept Sprint. Sprint apparently has decided to use a different standard, which will freeze them out of the ability to share other carrier's towers.
