Wow Cara! What a major hassle. Sounds like Windows. Think I'll wait for somebody else who is more adventurous than I am to try all that, and if it works for them, then I'll try to do it. I can't figure out time machine restores either, so I'd have to get sighted help for restoration of my system, which is faithfully backed up on a frequent basis. With so many of us having these problems, though, it does not seem like its an individual system thing.
