Hi Chris. The reason I suspect that iChat broke when upgrading to Safari 5, is that it's not just the browser that gets updated. The html rendering engine is also updated. Many Mac apps use this engine, including iChat. As for the bugs themselves, I will be surprised if they're not fixed in short order. Generally speaking, when a piece of software has a major point release, there are a few bugs that crop in. Historically Apple has been quite good at squashing these quickly. I'm sure we'll see a safari 5.1 or more likely 5.01 quite soon. As for the lack of communication from accessibil...@apple.com, unfortunately that's just the nature of Apple. As a rule, Apple doesn't announce anything until it's ready for release. This includes both new features and bug fixes. Rest assured though, if people are reporting the VO bugs, they know about them. I sometimes wish they were more communicative as well, but I think it's just part of Apple's corporate DNA to keep things close to the vest. I've found this is one of the hardest things for new Apple users to get used to. This is especially true if they're coming from the world of Access Technology. Often A T companies announce things months before actual release. Bottom line though, if past experience gives us anything to go on, these VoiceOver bugs will be fixed very soon. Darcy
