Heya Mark, I forgot what it is like to wonder if something will work in the Mac world.
Here is a suggestion if you have problems. I would get the newest possible firmware... duh. getting it on there cold actually be a problem these days, but youre a bright guy. If you have problems connecting, I recall there were some setting on the notetaker which would emulate other hardware. Giving that a go might help. I'm not sure where VO gets it's braille progiles (meaning for the hardware, not for the translation tables) For all I know these haven't changed much over the years, as really, braille displays aren't rocket science and a protocol is a protocol is a protocol. Now I'm speculating about using something like brltty and emulating a recognized device through software... that could be fun.
