Hey. I'll try and answer your questions as best I can. 1. By default, skype will automatically play a sound to indicate that a contact is on line. 2. Adium won't impact in any way on skype, if that's what you mean. 3. When it comes up with the show weppage, cancel and open button, click the open button, and that message will not appear again, unless you reinstall skype. 4. As for when to contact someone.
