Thanks, Annelie! I finally got it to work.  Here is what was happening.  I 
would place focus on the zip file. I would press vo shift m, down arrow to the 
"open with" submenu, and when I would press down arrow to get to my choices, I 
heard "closing menu".  But I pressed right arrow, and got into a list of open 
with choices, and the unarchiver was there.  Thanks for your help, my file is 
unzipped and I'm happy.
