:) skype's UI is nothing if not... erm quirky.  For example, I discovered 
recently that if you turn off cursor tracking while navigating in the table of 
contacts, you get rather more information than when it is enabled.  You can't 
read the contact status (as you said in a previous thread Nick it's a graphic) 
but  mood messages seem to be visible.
