Sorry for the time. I've been meaning to get to this one. :)

Adium.

When you locate the "Unknown" item in the chat window with someone, you can 
read the messages with the VoiceOver keys. You can also set up chats to read 
automatically using the system voice, or any other voice you select in Adium. 
Just go to preferences (Command-Comma), then interact with the toolbar. Find 
the "Events" button, then choose the event you want and click add.

As for Mail rules, I don't know much about it when it comes to importing. I 
imagine it might be possible, but I just recreated them.
