Paul,
Not cheap, but purchase a NAS (Network Active Storage) with maybe 4 to 8 Tb
disk capacity. Connect it to your Wi-Fi router hub with ethernet and it can be
used not only for both your Time Machine backups, but also as shared storage
for files you might want to have accessible to both your computers. I have all
our photos, audio books, and music files on the server drive so we can both
make use of them.

Hello,
Is it possible to purchase a WIFI connected storage device which my wife and
myself can share as storage for Mac time machines? We both have MacBooks with
only 2 USB C ports and so a shared wifi connected storage device would be
helpful.
An alternative might be iCloud storage but there may be cost, privacy, and
broadband concerns.
What do you folks do about storage devices for Time Machine backups?
Many thanks for any suggestions … Paul Hopewell
