I've used Google Maps for its high-quality map coverage. However, there
are important details it doesn't provide (at least not in my local
area), such as which side of the street a given address is on.
Are there other applications that perform better in this respect?

instance? Is it different from the one you prefer while walking? Or do
you perhaps set a different profile? e.g. cross-walks aren't very
important when you're riding! And, if you're riding in a car, bus stops
aren't very important, but cross streets may be very important.
