You might be able to do it with Screen recognition, but this is currently broken on the iPhone. Your best bet is to swipe down to reply and do your message that way or use the Tweesecake app on the Mac instead. the funny thing is once you reply to. a message, the new field is there as long as you dont hit the back button.
