I only do a little minor video editing and I use QuickTime for video recording. It is very easy to trim off bad stuff at the beginning and end of the video. If you wanna cut out stuff somewhere in the middle well, that’s another story. It might be possible to Split the video, trim, and then re-combine but you’ll have to look into QuickTime abilities and help system for that. Of course, editing stuff out of the middle of a video will introduce I think what they call jump cuts which is bad splicing a video.
