I have the at bat application, and it also keeps closing for me.  
Interestingly, I have found a workaround. 
If you click on the audio stream you want, and it starts playing, you can then 
click the hide button. Next, click back, so that you get into the main screen 
of the at bat app. You can then listen to the audio stream as long as you want. 
I think the reason this may be happening is that, as the audio plays, there are 
updates to the game statistics. These are not accessible with voiceover on the 
audio screen, but it is meant to allow people to see them while they listen to 
the game. As these stats update, it seems to crash the app as voiceover is 
being used. I am guessing this is the case, because on some streams, the app 
crashes immediately upon the conclusion of every play.
